Don’t be afraid! Stand up for what is right even if it means you are unliked by people. Don’t let anyone bully you or find ways to shut you up! Speak up and your mom will always have your back when you are right!
As part Ghanaian, I’m learning that many still have antiquated ideals about how women should behave. You do not have to assimilate into this culture ever! As a first generational American citizen from your parental side, you may learn what you desire from the culture, but always be true to you and don’t ever be afraid to say no!
